HOPAC Donations

$635 was the amount we were able to collect by selling squeezes in the recycling campaign we started. As a team we decided to use this money and help people that need it in our country. We found out that there was a community that really needed help and this is the HOPAC community. HOPAC stands for ‘Hogar de ParĂ¡lisis’ which is an institution where people with mental paralysis assist to. In this institution the beneficiaries are given the adequate treatment they need to have according to their condition. The institution also takes care of the affected people and they are in charge of giving them food throughout the day. And this is where the IGCA helped on.
We found out that once in a month they eat chicken or meat and that they have a shortage of milk which for them is very important. So with the money we made a purchase of chicken and powder milk and we made a personal delivery of these goods. We were kindly received in the institution and they showed us the different activities they make with the patients. We were all surprised by the activities they realized one of that they recycle paper and they themselves produce recycled paper. It was a nice visit and we all had desires to go back again someday.
It is one of the beautiful experiences that we have lived together as a group and at the end we felt very happy with the progress that we have done as a group.
