End Hunger and Poverty campaign: ONUVA Donations

ONVUA food donations- One of the millennium goals is “End Poverty and Hunger”. One way to be a global citizen is to contribute with this millennium goals. As a team we decided to help one of the million communities in our country that are in extreme poverty.
Our plan was to collect some money from the students and with this money make a donation of rice, sugar, flour, beans and all the essential edible goods. So a money box was given to each member of the IGCA and we had to go around the school asking for donations. Then the contributions collected were used to buy the edible goods said before.
Around the school we also pasted some posters promoting the eradication of poverty and hunger because we noticed as a group that it is one of the biggest issues in which we have to work on because it is affecting lots of innocent people that need our help.
Every member of the IGCA felt their commitment towards raising the highest amount of money and with this activity we learnt that by working together we can make a big result and this was reflected on the amount of goods that we were able to buy. Everybody in the team had a smile on their faces when the donation was given to the ONUVA people and we are glad that we were able to make a difference once more.
