Last Saturday, the IGCA team went to the beach El Amatal in La Libertad. In El Amatal we went to the VIVAZUL foundation, here one of the leaders of the foundation gave us an information session of what the foundation is and what it does and the impact of the lack of care for turtles can have in their lives. After the information session, the leader told us how to grab the newly born turtles (they had less than 12 hours of having hatched from the eggs) and gave us the instructions of the release. The IGCA team released the turtles and watched as they instinctively went straight to the ocean whilst taking photos of them.
The blue marbles that were given to the IGCA team by VIVAZUL foundations is to remember the commitment we are taking to preserve and care for our planet earth.
